April 6th, 2023: Spring Break Game Development And Vacation Plans

Today was pretty good.

Next week I have spring break. 9 days, from the 8th to the 16th. My family and I will be driving around to random points of interest in California, but in the mean time, I really want to start some new projects.

One of the things I really want to do is to begin using the things I learnt from the Java programming class I took over summer last year. So far, I haven't really used it at all. At best, it helps me understand the code in the Robotics Club. Anyways, I hope to use LWJGL to make something.

I also need to study for upcoming AP exams. I just have 1 this year, which sucks because I would've taken the maximum amount, but I guess one is a good introduction to AP exams. Anyways, I'll be studying since the AP Exam date for AP World History is coming up in just about a month.

This is probably a reach, but I'd also want to join a game jam. I haven't joined a game jam in a long time. I think the last game I've ever made was the summer before high school. Some game jams I've thought about joining is the Themed Horror Game Jam #12, Lv.99 Game Jam, USC Games Online High School Game Jam, and the Gamedev.js Jam 2023. If I don't end up joining any of them, since nothing really starts early enough for me to finish a game by the end of spring break, then I might just make a random game following something that I want.

Anways, overall, I'm pretty excited for spring break. It'll be a great time to unwind and relax.
