August 14th: First Day Of School and Cross Country Tryouts Day 1

Today was tiring.

Today is the first day of school for me! I woke up early, which was good, but I didn't sleep much at all because it was pretty warm. Anyways, today was mainly just an orientation day, but a lot of the information was already embedded into our minds for a long time, so in reality, I didn't really do much regarding school.

I also participated in Cross Country Tryouts today. I didn't sleep well last night, and I decided to skip lunch, so when our coaches were timing our mile, I got the horrible time of 9' 33". I could've definitely done much better, but I was running out of breath.

I'm writing this late at night, so I'm going to wrap this up so that I can get a lot more sleep. Practice is going to consume a lot of my time, it's 4 out of the 5 days of the week! Hopefully some of my other clubs can fit into Friday. I'm definitely going to have to take a step back from Robotics, but hopefully I can still be a leader in the weekend meetings. We'll also be having meetings at the end of the week during our school time, so I hope that I can be a leader during that time as well. I think I might just have to quit Yearbook, since it's turned into a class, taught during school time. If Yearbook doesn't allow outside people to work on it as a club, I'll just have to quit it.

Although I'm very excited to do Cross Country, It's taken a lot of my time, so I'm not sure if I can do the other things I've been committed to in the past and I'm more passionate about. I'll definitely be trying hard to balance everything though.
