December 13th: Christmas Door, Robotics Duties, and EWOW
Today was fine.
In homeroom class today (Pride), the two sides of the classroom have been having a competition for who can decorate their door on their side of the classroom better. The other side has way more people, and we only have 7, but after today, I'm very confident that our side has won.
The competition started a week ago. Initially, our progression was slow because we had difficulties cutting out letters and planning. However, this week, we made tons of progress. This morning we added the centerpiece of our door, which was a Christmas tree, with our homeroom (Pride) teacher, Mr. Sosa, as the "star" of the tree, and little Mr. Sosas as snowmen around the tree, celebrating the holidays!
We got a lot of attention for our creation. We even got onto the student leadership's Instagram story! I'm very confident that we'll be winning the competition against the other side. If they do anything like we did, we know that they copied us.
Throughout the day I helped out on many tasks that we related to Robotics. In 3rd period and during lunch I helped plan for our potluck. Then, afterschool, I did some data entry on completion of forms (handbook and code of conduct) and made sure people filled out the appropriate forms (FIRST registration). In summary, I helped out with paper work. Fortunately for us, Mr. K, our advisor, has recovered from his previous ailment, so hopefully we're ready for Kickoff in just a couple weeks!
I've also joined EWOW, which is "Eleven Words Of Wisdom." It's a YouTube Show hosted by CaryKH (Cary Huang, creator of BFDI). EWOW is the second season of TWOW, or "Ten Words Of Widsom." Basically, you have to answer the prompt in 11 words or less. The lower 50% of players lose a life (you start with 3) while the highest couple of percents win 1 extra life. Hopefully I make it far in the competition!
