Feburary 17th, 2023: February Break, AI Deepfakes, and My Favorite Lullaby

     Today wasn't too eventful.

     My February break has started. I'm not sure what I'll do with all the time that I have. I'll be attending some robotics meetings, which will be fun, but other than that, I don't have anything significant. Maybe I'll finally get the time to play some video games or work on a game. I'm just hoping it won't be boring and unproductive.

     AI voice deepfakes have been on the rise. I'd say they're pretty funny. It's just hilarious to hear politicians and celebrities playing Minecraft and swearing at each other. You'd never expect them to do something like that. However, it's important to recognize the legal implications of it. When people film me, do they own my voice as well? I think AI will certainly cause some certain legalities or new laws to rise.

     I think I will share one of my favorite songs today. It's a cantonese lullaby, but it always makes me tear up and emotional. It's called 月光光, shining moon or moonlight. It makes be think of my childhood, when life was carefree and lovely. Life was so much simpler. It makes me think about my family. The version I've listened to the most is from Music13ilove, sung by a bunch of children, but that makes me think of my family even more. The lyrics "帮手阿爷去睇牛羊," or "Help grandpa watch the cattle and sheep," it makes me think about my own grandpa. I don't even understand that much chinese, but the song always makes me emotional.
