Feburary 22nd, 2023: Hanoi Chicken Noodle, Website Update, and Controllers

Today was very good! I would consider today to be one of the best days I've had in a long time.

Today me and my grandpa went to Hanoi Chicken Noodle. We haven't had it in a long time, I think today was the first time in 3-4 years. Anyways, we were deciding what to eat for lunch, then my grandpa suggested Hanoi Chicken Noodle. So, we drove over there. On the ride there, he was talking about how good the chicken soup was. When we got there, we ordered the #2, Shredded Chicken noodle Soup with ho fun rice noodles. The service was EXTREMELY FAST. I think it was the fastest service I've ever had at any restaurant. The soup was incredible, and there were a lot of toppings. Overall, it was a great experience, 5/5 stars.

I just discovered that I can host my website on Google Sites. Initially, when I bought the domain, Namecheap gave me a discounted deal for web hosting, which I took advantage of and used to make issacwoo.com. However, I really wanted to host it on Google Sites for it's ease and better design. At first, I thought that it was necessary for me to buy the domain on Google Domains so that I could also host it on Google Sites. However, just 2 hours ago, while I was messing around and panicking because it was getting close to 1 week before my website hosting on Namecheap expired, i discovered that i could just redirect my domain to Google Sites, for free! I'm still copying my website design over to Google Sites, so it might take a little bit before everything is on Google Sites.

I made a program which maps the PS5 controller for Minecraft: Java Edition. By default, The Java version of Minecraft doesn't support any gamepads of any type, so I made my own using Auto Hotkey a while back. I was playing on my Minecraft Server with it, and I was destroying and terraforming the environment around my house. It took me around an hour to terraform. The controls felt slow and clunky with the joystick. I feel like I could terraform the entire mountain in just 20 minutes if I were on mouse and keyboard. I guess the point I'm trying to make, is that controllers feel over-valued for the control you are able to have in video games. Perhaps controllers have their special use cases. I can certainly say that using a controller in racing games is way better than for open world games, like Minecraft.
