Feburary 27th, 2023: Robotics, Weather, and Tomatoes

Today was alright. I was pretty tired throughout the day but it wan't too bad.

Today I attended a Robotics Meeting. More people were able to attend today, so our advisor helped clarify the intensity that we should be working at. Anyways, the sub-team building the frame of the robot were very busy today. They used wood to help prototype their measurements, which was important so that we didn't need to order more aluminum. However, the ones designing and constructing our gripper mechanism (including me) had some trouble with 3D Designing, since we needed to create a pully system for our gripper to pull in game pieces. At this point most teams are already testing their robot, while on the other hand, we've just finished designing. I know that as a team, we're going to be able to finish the robot!

Fortunately, on my walk to school, it didn't rain. However, halfway through first period, it began to rain pretty hard, which leaked into passing period which was really annoying since a large portion of my school is outside, without a roof. It's not a large issue, it's mainly just an inconvenience.

I remember my grandma used to grow tomatoes every summer. Before, I thought tomatoes were always acidic and weren't that good. In contrast, after we kept growing tomatoes since 2015, I began to taste their sweetness, which was wild for me at the time. Of course, tomatoes are seasonal, only growing in the summer. The local real estate agents would pass them out the beginning of each summer. My grandma would ask my neighbors for their so that we could grow more tomatoes. However, gophers began to invade everyone's homes, so there weren't any tomatoes last year.
