July 10th, 2023: California's Great America Excursion

Today was very nice!

Today, my friends and I went to California's Great America. We arrived at 10AM, right when the park opened. First, we went on the Patriot. Initially, I was a bit afraid of the ride, but it wasn't that bad, and actually very fun and thrilling. Then, we went to the Drop Tower. When I was in Santa Cruz, on their Drop Tower, I almost fainted. This time, it was actually very fun because I could actually fully take in what was happening. The ride operator trolled us by dropping us at 9! Then, we went on Psycho Mouse. It was a milder ride, but I fake screamed the entire way through. That was a bit of a mistake, because my throat hurts now.

Anyways, afterwards, we decided to go to the water park, South Bay Shores. We went onto the Costal Cruz first. It was very exciting, with us all in a giant swim ring, being tossed around. Then, we went onto the Norcal Wipeout. There were some various splashes, but wasn't too bad. Afterwards, we went in a circle, checking out what was available, and we ended up going to the Pacific Surge. We went on the ones with swim rings. They were pretty fast, with a big splash at the end. Then, we went to the Breaker's Bay, the wave pool. We played tag. I was it for a long time because I forgot how to swim. Anyways, after playing in the wave pool, we went to Rushin' River, the lazy river. We created a chain and went really fast! Then we had a race, where I lost. At the lazy river, I scraped my knee a couple of times, so I went to get some Band-Aids. Afterwards, we returned to the Pacific Surge, where we went to the tubes where they dropped you. You couldn't breathe when the dropped you because water went into your nose! It was still very exciting and literally breathtaking.

Then, we went to lunch. It was disappointing that the entire park was card only, as I only brought cash. My friend ended up buying us all lunch and we payed him back. At that point, we changed and returned to the regular rides. We went to the Rue Le Dodge, the bumper cars. This was the first major line we were in, but the experience was still enjoyable. I bumped into my friends a couple of times. Afterwards, we went to do the celebration swings. The swings went fast and you were almost sitting sideways, so it was pretty thrilling. Then, we went to The Demon. It looked scary, with 2 loop-de-loops, but it actually wasn't that bad. My friend commented that it was actually a bit underwhelming. After The Demon, we decided to ride the RailBlazer. It looked really thrilling and scary, because it went so fast and the drop was so vertical. However, right when we were at the end of the line, the ride broke down! We were so disappointed because we had waited for so long. Then, we decided to have a break by drinking some drinks and just sitting in the shade. We went to Barney Oldfield's Redwood Rally, where you drove around a track seeing cool sights. It was pretty boring. Initially, we thought the car drove itself, but you were just constricted to a single line, so it did feel like we still had some freedom. After that, we went around through another circle, and the last ride we went on was Flight Deck. At this point, I was pretty tired, and I was actually a little scared of the ride, and I didn't want to ride it. However, I was just too late, and I was sitting in the seat before I knew it. It was, like all of the other rides, very thrilling in reality. There were many twists, turns, and loop-de-loops, and you went really fast throughout everything. I was screaming "早上好中国!现在我有冰淇淋!我很喜欢吃冰淇淋!" as a joke. Anyways, that ride definitely woke me up, but I had a bit of a headache. Afterwards, we went to eat a little, then we headed home.

Overall, today was very fun and exciting. It was great to spend time with friends.
