March 11th, 2023: Robotics and Daylight Savings
Today was pretty good.
Today I attended a Robotics Meeting. Once again, a special thanks to the Spartans (FRC 971) for letting us use their space.
It was a pretty good meeting, we got a decent amount of stuff done. We got our bumpers set up today. First, we had to attach our pool noodles onto our wood, and then cut it at the right angles. Next, we affixed our team number onto the fabric for our bumpers. This took the majority of our time, because we only had one iron and little desk space to work with. Anyways, we got all of the numbers onto the fabric, so all we need to do is staple it onto the bumper wood and noodles, then use brackets to affix them at the right angle.
The rest of the team got with the Spartans to use their lathe to cut some metal for our gripper mechanism. Some others reviewed the old code and tried to understand it, because the senior who coded it last year left for college.
I forgot daylight savings was today. So, that means that the time will skip ahead tonight. This also means that I'll be missing an hour of sleep. It really sucks, since I wanted to stay up a little later to finish all of my homework.
Allegedly, the government is working on abolishing daylight savings as well.Â
Oh well, I better cut todays blog short so I can get started on the aforementioned homework. We still have to go the Spartans tomorrow!
