March 15th, 2023: Robotics, Website, and Music

Today was not too bad, but I do have a lot of responsibilities I need to get done.

Today, in Robotics, we got a decent amount done. Firstly, we fixed our bumpers. It's a bit of a tight fit, and there's some stress on the screws, but it's good enough. It took our pit crew to put them on in around 9 minutes, but hopefully they can shave off some more time so we can be more efficient.
We also put on some banner grommets for our banner. I'm not sure if we know what we'll be using to hold them up though, but hopefully we have that figured out. Anyways, we also updated the software for our driver station. We still need to configure it, but hopefully it's working fine. We still need to find the serial number for our RoboRIO so that we can get a proper license for the software, since we're using the free trial right now.
The rest of the team got to work cutting out the pivot for our arm and gripper assembly from sheet metal. We still need to assemble everything together and write code for it, but hopefully we can finish everything by tomorrow, which is the last day before the competition.

I think I might add an "articles" section to the website, where I can write more lengthy explanations, rants, or instructions more impersonally compared to these blogs. These blogs are meant to be a reflection of my day, or about what I feel or what I've been thinking about, so I can't write about just a singular topic, since I try to regulate myself to write 3 paragraphs on 3 topics or 4 paragraphs on 2 topics. The only thing stopping me is my time, since I don't really have much of it with so many deadlines coming for both Yearbook and for Robotics.

I've decided to sign up for my school's music concert to perform a solo. However, I'm unsure of what song I want to play. I sort of want to do a medley, but I can't really write music. I could play a modern song, like a popular song (Ice Spice???). However, I want to play a song that I love, like from Juice WRLD. I could also perform a song from my favorite pieces of media, like from Anime or Video Games. However, maybe I want to surprise my audience, by playing Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up or Baka Mitai. I still have plenty of time to choose, but I still need to be able to fully perform my song with few errors.
