March 16th, 2023: Robotics, AP World Debate
Today was probably the most busiest day I've had in a long time.
Today we held an extremely long and late Robotics meeting, It was from the end of school (3 PM) until almost 9PM, lasting almost 6 hours! Typically our weekend meetings are 6 hours, but we never have gone to 9PM.
Anyhow, we got a lot of final items completed. We got our banner posts set up, we finished updating and setting up our computers, we finished cutting and sanding down some axels and metal, We also got everything into our vans and cars, and we're ready to leave the school at once when everyone comes to campus.
The days coming ahead are going to be hard and strenuous, but I know that as a team, we're going to be able to finish our robot. After today, all we need to do is assemble everything together and program it, which shouldn't need to take too long. We have a decent amount of time before the practice matches.
Today, in my AP World History class, we had a heated debate, between capitalism and communism. We were assigned to choose one side. Almost everyone in the class got involved. Typically in school, students look at the teachers with fish eyes, but today, in our AP World History class, we were extremely engaged in attempting to win the debate with rebuttals and arguments. It was really fun, thanks Mr. McNulty!
