March 18th, 2023: FRC San Francisco Regional 2023, Day 2

Like yesterday, it was still pretty busy, but we managed to do a lot with what little we had.

Today was the first day of real matches. We mainly played defense. However, we could push around some of the game pieces, so we were able to score some points as well. One of our team members, Bryan, was able to control the robot extremely well, so we all chose him to be the main driver. I was the human player. The other driver and I weren't exactly the best at using the joystick.

We actually didn't use our gripper at all in real matches. Since our robot is extremely lightweight, we weren't the best for defense, but we were able to push around some of the cubes into the hybrid nodes.

Anyways, hopefully we're able to get our gripper mechanism working so that we can score some extra points instead of just being defense or pushing around the cubes. I think if we can get it working it'll benefit us a lot in the competition.
