March 26th, 2023: Cancelled Robotics, My Day, New Game Ideas

Today was alright. Like yesterday, there isn't much to write about.

It turns out that my school is closed because they're repairing the pipes, so Robotics was cancelled as well.

Instead, I walked to the library and ended up seeing one of my friends on the way. In the library, I caught up on a lot of homework. There were some reading assignments for English, and I had to review the Unit Circle for Algebra. I also did some review for AP World History.

I think, instead of just waiting for a game jam that appeals to me, I should be looking towards improving my game development process. Since I took a course in Java last summer, I think I'll be learning LWJGL to make some new games. Previously, all my games used scratch, which was a pain to work with because there were a lot of restrictions, and it was really slow to develop games with because of the block-based programming language. It was great that it was simple to understand, but I really want to work towards improving my skillset. Since it isn't crunch time in Robotics anymore, and Yearbook is over since all of the deadlines have almost been met, I have a lot of free time now, so after I'm done studying, I think I'll be learning about how to program games in LWJGL.

Thanks for reading,
Issac
