March 5th, 2023: Robotics, Weather, and The Website
Today was pretty good.
In Robotics, we drove to FRC Team 971, The Spartan's workshop so that we could work on our robot again today. Today, one of their mentors from our team helped us a lot with our limelight, and in the end we got it working. We also had to go out on an expedition to find more pool noodles for our bumpers, but we also picked up some other stuff. We got all the measurements we need for it, so we'll be cutting the wood and pool noodles once we get back to our school. We also got a lot done with CAD work. Once again, thanks Spartans!
It seems that the weather will be getting worse again. According to weather forecasts, it basically will be raining all week. It's going to help out with the dryness of California, which is good, but sometimes having wet shoes isn't the greatest. Hopefully we don't get our robot wet again. I believe I failed to mention this, but on Saturday, while we were transporting items from our van to the Spartans' workshop, we had no choice but to move things in the rain, so a lot of our stuff got wet. Luckily, nothing malfunctioned or broke, but we shouldn't risk anything like it again. The Spartans' directed us to use a tarp, or something to cover our robot when we move it next time. Thanks, Spartans'!
I've finally got around to creating a draft for a Games' section of the website. So far, I've only added Save The Field Of O' Meadow, but I may need to re-export it again so that full screen will properly work. I'm thinking of adding a play now button INSIDE of the games, that way sound will properly work, since browsers won't allow sites to play audio without user interaction. Anyways, hopefully I can get it running soon.
Thanks for reading,
