March 7th, 2023: Robotics and Lemon pt. 3

Today was mediocre. There wasn't anything particularly special.

In Robotics, we cut the wood for our bumpers. It's a bit late considering we're just over a week until competition, but at least we have bumpers. We only had time to cut one side of the bumpers, but we should be able to finish constructing the wood frame and finish cutting the pool noodles for the bumpers tomorrow. The fabric for the bumpers will be arriving right before competition, but as long as we follow the guides posted online we should be able to affix them right on time.
The rest of the team members today got our food situation sorted out. We also set up the shelves that we needed for our pit. We still have a lot of other tasks to do, like making our gripper and tower system for manipulating game pieces, but I'm confident that we can finish it in about a week. Hopefully we can get our robot up and running before the competition!

My grandma got another large lemon from my auntie's house. It's about 6-9 inches in diameter, which is pretty big. I'm not sure how large the other one was, but I'm pretty sure the one right now is smaller than the one last time. Hopefully this one won't rot before we can use it!
My grandma said the skin of the lemon is a thicker, but hopefully it still has a considerable amount of flesh! I recall about a picture of "losing the food lottery," where there was pretty much only ~1 inch of actual lemon flesh on a really large lemon. Hopefully that doesn't happen to us! If it did, it would be extremely funny and I'll make sure I can snap a photo of it.

I'm have a lot of homework due tomorrow, so I'll have to cut todays blog short. Nothing much happened today anyways.
