March 8th, 2023: Robotics, Website Achievement, and Games
Today was alright. I was pretty tired throughout the day.
In Robotics, it turns out our measurements were incorrect for our bumpers. Luckily (or unluckily), our measurements were longer than they were supposed to, so we just had to re-calculate and cut shorter.
Our old design used 45° cuts for the wood, which wouldn't work since we also need some space for our bumper fabric. Today we're switching to a design in which the wood is meets at the edge of the robot, and is secured using brackets.
Anyways, today I got an email from Google saying that I got 16 clicks on my website! Most of them are probably from me, because I've been testing my website on Google after using their search console. The website doesn't really show up when you search up anything, but hopefully it can get ranked higher in the near future.
Hopefully I can get the games section of this website up and running soon. I know I'll definitely be adding all the games from my itch.io page, but I've made some games which I took down from itch.io because they were pretty low quality. One of them was for the MS Paint Jam 2021. It a literally trash game. I took on some of the challenges from the challenge section from the game jam page, which made it even worse. I used my voice for some of the sound effects, which was pretty awkward. Since I was in a time crunch when I was making the game, a lot of my code was in poor quality, which made the gameplay lacking as well. I think I'll be uploading that to the Games section, but I don't think I'll be updating it at all.
Thanks for reading,
