March 9th, 2023: Weather and My Study Tip
Today was OK. There wasn't anything too particularly special.
The weather was pretty intense today. It was raining all day, and it only stopped for a short period of time in the morning before it started pouring once more for the rest of the day. Luckily it wasn't raining too hard when I wasn't walking home!
We're going to the Spartans (FRC 971) again this Saturday, so hopefully we'll have a break in the stormy weather when we're transporting stuff from our van to their workshop. This time our mentor purchased a tarp for us to use when we're transporting. So, our robot won't get wet again like it did last time. Nonetheless, it really sucks having to move in the rain and getting your shoes, socks, and feet wet for the rest of the day.
I think I've found a good way to get me to stop procrastinating. Since it seems that I work a lot faster under pressure, I've instilled a timer for me to feel that pressure. I did this a couple days ago when I had a bunch of homework and I had to study in a lot of classes. Even though I slept a bit later, I still got a lot done and I feel like I procrastinated a lot less.
Although the time on the timer is meaningless, since I have a pretty long time until I should get to bed, It's still good to get all my homework and duties finished so that I can have some time to enjoy myself. I don't think I remember the last time I played video games.
Anyways, I'm using that tip right now as I'm finishing up this blog post. I'd say it's pretty effective! I've got some more homework to do, so I'll get to that right now.
