October 14th: Solar Eclipse, Robotics, and Running

Today was good.

There was a solar eclipse this morning at around 10 AM. It was just a partial solar eclipse, but it still looked pretty cool. It was the first time I even got to see one. The last time there was an eclipse, it was a cloudy day.

At the start of the Robotics meeting, we made some pinhole projectors to look at the eclipse. They didn't really work, but we had a bit of fun.

Anyways, after that, the rookies got an introduction Mechanical M-Ayhem, an FRC style competition for our rookies to get prepared for the actual season. We read the rules and created our own interpretations of them. Then, we presented what we learned from the rulebook. Afterwards, we took a small lunch break. My friend's bike had a flat tire, so he couldn't get home. I went home to get my pump and we got it pumped up. Afterwards, the sub teams made Trello cards in the backlog for the competition.

I don't think I'll be any useful for the team right now, because only the rookies are allowed to compete, so I might just go to practice a bit more often.

Anyways, at night, I went running for around 30 minutes at a really easy pace.

Thanks for reading,
