October 19th: Cross Country Senior Night and Robotics
Today was good.
Today was Senior Night for Cross Country. At my school, Senior Night is the day where we celebrate the seniors on a sports team for their final (or close to final) game of their highschool career.
Today's senior night was during the boy's soccer game, so the Cross Country team watched the game in support of our boy's soccer team until halftime, where senior night was celebrated.
During halftime, we got up from the sidelines, and the seniors got into the field, where they were given some candies, while some of us from the team gave them flowers. Afterwards, they broke a banner that the leadership class made for senior night.
Anyways, while we were watching the soccer game, the Robotics Team was a bit busy. The engineering team was researching all of the components they needed to purchase, while the programming team did a reading and did an exercise. The electrical team was with the business team to help them manage fundraisers, grants, sponsorships, and events. Our next meeting will be on Sunday, where the engineering team will begin constructing the frame of the robot, while the programming team gets their first try on programming the basic movement with a tankDrive system.
Thanks for reading,
