October 28th: Cross Country Meet, Buying Groceries, and Homework
Today was good.
My grandma woke me up at 5:30 because she thought that I had to be at school by 6 for the meet. Except, I didn't, and I had to be at school by 7, so I missed out on half an hour of sleep.Â
Anyways, I had cereal and milk for breakfast before the race. I walked in the freezing weather to campus, where our coach picked us up for the race.
The course was the same one as our first Cross Country meet. It was also freezing cold this time, at around 46 degrees. The boy's varsity race began at 8:45. We were barely organized in a line when the horn blew.
I ran the race at a pretty good pace. For the first mile, I ran it in 8' 02", then the second one was at 8' 36". My third one was at 8' 17". On the third mile, I was right behind these boys from another school, but I managed to outpace them and I was ahead by around 200-300 meters by the end. I ended up at 30th place with a time of 25' 12", which is a new PR!
After the race was over, and I went back home, my auntie drove my grandparents and I to eat Dim Sum. After we were finished, and my auntie went to work, we bought some groceries and we walked back home.
When I got back home I was pretty tired, so I took a bit of a nap. Afterwards, I got a bit of homework done, but not all of it. Hopefully I get all of my homework done soon!
