September 27th: Cross Country Practice and Robotics
Today was OK.
I normally would've gone to the Robotics Meeting today, but our advisor said that he wanted to take the lead for the programming team. Anyways, most of them are supposed to just continue their programming course.
Anyways, in Cross Country practice, we did our regular warm up. Then, we did mile repeats. I did them slower than usual, but at least I was running on my toes. I ran an 8' 28" mile, then an 8' 40", then an 8' 56".
In Robotics, our advisor told the programming team to slow down, because they knew a lot of the syntax, but they didn't actually know how to implement concepts. Anyways, hopefully they understand the material well.
We have less than 2 weeks left until our off season competition. Our advisor, unfortunately, bought the incorrect adapter for our encoder, which really sucks. Apparently, regular jumper wires should work (I think I mentioned this in an earlier blog), so hopefully we can still get it plugged in. Anyways, we still need to mount our bumpers, get our motor mount created, and create a design for the encoder. Hopefully we can pull through and finish all of the improvements for the robot! I really don't want to work on the robot during the competition.
Thanks for reading,
