April 27th: Robotics Meeting with Society Of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and Homework
Today was good.
In today's robotics meeting, the Society Of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) arrived to our workshop for our robot showcase. First, we arrived at 10AM before SHPE arrived so that we could prepare everything. The mechanical team was getting the finishing touches on the stage. Apparently, we were all supposed to create presentations, so during this preparation time, the programming team decided on our talking points. Then, when the mentors from SHPE arrived, we started with presentations from every sub-team. Then, we had the robot showcase. Unfortunately the string of our lifter mechanism snapped so we couldn't show off our lifters, but we could show off our cycling. After the robot showcase, SHPE announced that they were giving us a 2,500$ cash check as a donation! It was a pleasant surprise, and it's going to help us a lot!
After the meeting I slept a lot. Fortunately, I at least got most of my Spanish homework finished, but I would've wanted to have finish my Spanish homework AND my Economics homework. Looks like I'll need to "lock in" tomorrow.
