April 3rd: Robotics Meeting
Today was good.
In today's robotics meeting, everyone was pretty busy. First, the programming team was able to implement the rate limiters to suppress the amount of power that was given to the drive train motors, which ended up working pretty well. As it turns out, for our PID automatic turning, we implemented some of the math wrong so we fixed that. In the mean time, the engineering team worked on the robot, so many of the programmers helped the public relations team make gifts for other teams. After the engineering team was done we had a lunch break.
After the lunch break the electrical team finished wiring up the lifters, and the programming team further tested. We accidently multiplied the values by -1 so every motion caused the lifters to retract, but we'll fix that tomorrow.
For tomorrow, after the electrical team finished cable managing, the programming team should be free to finish all of the robot optimization we need. Every team tomorrow also needs to pack. Hopefully we'll finish in time before East Bay!
