February 14th: Valentines Day and Robotics Meeting
Today was decent. Sadly, no Valentine for me.
Actually, I did get a Valentine-Gram from a friend of mine. He moved to a different school after our freshman year. Somehow, he was still able to send a Valentine-Gram to me. Thanks J!
During lunch time, the Music Club had some student and staff performances. However, I just barely missed the performance with the music teacher and the gov/econ teacher! I was really hoping to hear it but I had to TAKE A PHYSICS TEST!!!!
It also rained pretty hard later in the day. Who got their heart broken?
Anyways, after school, there was a robotics meeting. We finished compiling the list of required electronics for our second co-processor for our second camera. We decided on using an orange-pi, which is pretty strong. We tried installing photonvision on the Raspberry pi 3b+ 1GB model, which actually ended up working despite photonvision asking for 2GB of ram. It was successful, and we were able to connect to the camera on our robot, but the latency was really bad. Hopefully the new co-processor will make operations run smoother!
The rest of the team also updated our POS system, and calibrated our limelight camera. We were also successful in calibrating on photonvision, which we had a lot of struggle in doing. We'll be ready to estimate the position tomorrow.
I hope everyone had a good Valentines Day! I know I certainly won't, I'm swamped with homework!
Thanks for reading,
