February 24th: Robotics Meeting
Today was alright.
For the Robotics meeting today, we were pretty busy.
For the engineering team, it was discovered that our robot would not pass the height requirement because of our lifter mechanism for the endgame chain. So, we had to make some changes. We also don't have a chain to test, so we stole a chain from the school.
For the programming team, we ran out of actual programming to do, so we began planning for our drive system... Which we should've done a lot earlier ago! As it turns out, there's a bunch of geometry and trigonometry that we need to do in order to figure out how our robot will be functioning, because we want field-centric controls. We had to decide what the origin point of the field would be. Then, with all of our sensors, we had to decide what angle system that all of them will be using. Anyways, we'll continue doing that on our next meeting on Monday.
Speaking of meeting, our meeting times will be increasing by ALOT this week. We'll be staying until 8 pretty much every day of the week so that we have enough time to finish our robot and get some driver practice in.
Our public relations team also made headbands for everyone to wear for competition. They give our team some spirit!
Lastly, our finance team helped us purchase our bumper hardware. We got a bunch of pool noodles, and they cut them down to size.
Hopefully our robot will be done soon!
