February 27th: Robotics Meeting
Today was OK.
In Today's robotics meeting, we were pretty productive.
The electrical team got to work installing the entire board onto the robot. Hopefully they will be finished by tomorrow!
An issue we encountered was that it appears that our orange pi was bootlooping when it was powered by the robot PDP, so we'll need to tackle that and see if there is the possibility that the system image was just being corrupted, or if the orange pi image just requires everything to be connected, including the roborio and such, for it to be properly working.
Anyways, the programming team fixed a bug with our POS system, and finished the camera mount for our orange pi camera solution. We also did some math for finding the direction for the shortest path of an angle. Basically, for turning around, we want the robot to turn to reach it's intended angle based off of the controller, in the most efficient manner. We scoured the internet but we couldn't find anything, but hopefully we have it figured out tomorrow!
The engineering team also designed a mount for the battery. It's being 3D printed right now, and it's really big. It was almost too big for our 3D printer!
It looks like our robot may begin to be functional by the end of tomorrow!
