February 29th: Robotics Meeting, Breaking Austin's Laptop (More), and Homework
Today was decent.
In today's robotics meeting, we got a lot of work done.
The electrical team finished installing the electrical board and got most of the wiring done. All that needs to be done now is daisy chaining the CAN bus, which relies on all of the motors being installed.
The intake plate for our intake system, which engineering is waiting on, is coming on Saturday, which means the electrical team is also waiting for the engineering team to install the intake system so that all of the motors are installed.
Anyways, the programming team did some further, in depth planning for our control scheme. Other folks also wrote test code to test every single motor and system in the robot. Lastly, we began 3D printing some joystick extenders so that we would have more precision while controlling the robot.
I tried fixing my friend, Austin's Chromebook today. For the most part, the disassembly was fine, but his original screen (which had a border of dead pixels) had to be destroyed in the process. While we (not everyone in robotics today had something to do, programming was waiting for the robot!) were re-installing the bezel, I had to hit really hard for the bezel to snap in, so that probably caused the donor screen to crack...
Anyways, I don't have my Chromebook anymore (I had to give it to Austin).Â
When I got home I did a bunch of homework.
Thanks for reading,
