February 5th: Chess Club, Weird Weather, and Robotics Meeting
Today was alright.
I attended a Chess Club meeting today. It was sparsely populated today. I stalemated against the president because he wasn't used to playing 10 minute matches, but I lost my other match. Too bad!
The weather was also weird today. At first the forecast said it wasn't going to rain, but then it rained for a good 20 minutes, then it stopped raining. However, during 6th period, I got to see a rainbow, which was pretty cool to see!
After school there was a robotics meeting. The engineering team cut wood outside, the electrical team did some cable management, and programming did a lot of work.
For programming, we copied the code that we wrote during the Saturday meeting to the proper repository. We also tested the Limelight, and it was able to automatically detect the AprilTags right out of the box, which was pretty cool. The code that a member wrote to pull information from the limelight also popped up, which is good to see. He abstracted away that process into a different file, so hopefully we can transition towards command-based programming so that way our code is cleaner.
Hopefully we are productive tomorrow!
