February 8th: Robotics Meeting
Today was good.
We had a Robotics Meeting today. It was not bad.
The electrical team reduced the size of the prototype electrical board so that it could be stored in the current state of the robot.
The engineering team got more work done on the robot cart, and installed the modified frame of the chassis that they designed so that we could have ground intake.
For the programming team, the other lead and I planned out our meeting on Saturday. On Saturday, some engineers from The Society Of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Will be coming over to see what we've been doing, so we want to impress them! The rest of the members continued on robot localization. To be specific, a member used the code that we wrote using the IMU for estimation of the position of the robot and wrote it for using the integrated accelerometer of the roboRIO. Another member finished documenting our POS system. Lastly, a small group worked on estimating the position of the robot using the encoder information from the drive base and the gyroscope.
Overall, today was pretty productive! Hopefully more progress on the robot will be made tomorrow!
