July 8th: Austin's Birthday, Robotics Meeting, Nandemo Zenmai, and AP Scores

Today was alright.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUSTIN!!! Hope you had a good birthday!

There was a robotics meeting held. There wasn't too many people who attended today, but we got a decent amount done. The programming team updated everything and made sure that the robot was functional. The electrical team made sure that the robot was working. The electrical team and the programming team disassembled a controller and diagnosed what was wrong, and put it back together. The mechanical team got the field elements outside so that we can test later on. We also did some planning. Finally, the mechanical team and some members from the electrical team got to work on making some mounting brackets for the Chromebook chargers for the classroom of our advisor, Mr. K, so that way his Chromebook chargers don't get stolen.

My Nandemo Zenami came! I think it means unlimited clockwork in Japanese. Basically, it's a wind-up key reminiscent of older devices and toys, that magnetically attaches to a surface and winds up (spins) the key! It's a really cool novelty, and I think it's pretty cute and cool! Once I got the notification that it arrived I instantly went back home to open it up and use it. When I tried to use it on the robot, as it turns out, it isn't magnetic? I didn't really pay attention to earth sciences class so I'm not exactly sure how magnets work, but I was a little dissapointed. However, it works on the hooks, which is nice. I don't think it's legal for competition, but it's still a cool novelty!

AP Scores released today. I refuse to say ANYTHING about them until I finish making my game for it! It will be a game where you have to guess my AP Score based off of my reaction of them. It shouldn't take too long to make. I wouldn't really consider it to be a game, but I guess it fits into the games category.

Thanks for reading,
Issac
