June 4th: Finals (Day 2), WiSTEM Meeting

Today was OK.

It was the second day of finals. My Junior Seminar final was literally nothing; I just had to submit my portfolio. My APCSP one was a little bit more involved but I still finished early.

During Junior Seminar, since I wasn't doing anything, I wanted to skip. However, the sub was watching like a hawk! So I had to wait until she was distracted by another student until I could jump out of the window. Apparently everyone but the sub saw. I never jumped out of a window before, but it was cool! After that I went into the history classroom.

I got the Women in STEM club (WiSTEM) secretary position. There was a meeting after school. I was the only male-identifying person. It was awkward, and I now understand how it feels to be a "diversity hire"! If I'm going to be honest, it felt as if whatever I put in my application was disregarded and they didn't care for what I could contribute. It undermines my accomplishments and my potential.

Thanks for reading,
Issac
