March 14th: Robotics Meeting, Homework, and XRC Simulator
Today was alright.
In today's Robotics meeting we had some conversations to discuss about the team culture and us moving forward. I think it was a very beneficial reminder and a good conversation to help us improve the dynamics in the team. Afterwards, programming fixed the issue with the robot tipping forward by reducing the acceleration speed. Then, we decided to get some driver practice while we could. Inside of the workshop, the team was cleaning up behind the whiteboard for a fresh start, that way we would be less disorganized.
After school I got some homework done (finally) and I didn't take a nap today. It's pretty late as I write this, but I think that I will be free on Sunday to sleep.
I also played XRC Simulator with some other folks in the drive team as some driver practice. For context, XRC simulator is a simulator for FTC and FRC games. We scored an amplified note into the speaker which was pretty cool, I think it's a first for our team. Even though we can't use our own robot for practice, and we aren't using the real controls of the robot, hopefully this will help us get more familiar with the game and driving.
It's also PI Day! 3.14159265358979323 are all of the digits that I know. Someone called me a nerd for knowing all of this. Someone pied our robotics mentor in the face.
