March 5th: Robotics Meeting, Sleep
Today was decent.
In today's robotics meeting we got a good amount of work done, but when competition is literally 2 days away, we need a lot more work done too!
The engineering team got to work with the mount for the battery. It's 3D printed, but we need to make the holes for the pegs to attach to each other. In the first half, the team used a file to create the hole. They got a big chunk of it, but in the second half, they used a drill with some sand paper to make the peg hole, but it also melted some of the plastic.
The electrical team did further re-wiring, and mounted the radio in an optimal position.
The programming team got a decent amount of work done. We moved our code to functions, which makes it a lot easier to isolate problems and improves the organization of our code. Some other members also did some CAD work for the controllers and our camera mounts.
For mounting our camera for our photonvision set up, we did a temporary mount with just screws, and it was able to detect april tags at an acceptable distance. We're going to need to hope that the conditions in the competition field are well lit though, because the camera doesn't perform that well in low light conditions. When we tried to use the photonvision software with code, it failed though for some reason. We'll need to try again tomorrow.
I AM SO SLEEPY AND TIRED!!!
