May 16th: About AP English Language and Composition Exam, Catching Up On Homework, and PROM!
Today was alright.
So, for the AP Lang exam, on the MCQ, this was my strategy: I did one of the MCQs about reading comprehension, then I skipped to the grammar section, then I went back to finish the reading comprehension section. I think it was an alright method, since I only had to guess and bubble in for 3 of them. I'm feeling alright for the MCQ. I had to stick with my first instinct for much of the last quarter of it, which meant that I couldn't really double check, but that's a technique, right?
Anyways, for the FRQs, after the exam, I had a sudden thought about the synthesis essay. It was about historical preservation laws, not necessarily historical preservation. I pondered about it for a long time but the exam was already over so there wasn't much I could do. Anyways, after asking my AP Lang teacher, she said I should probably be fine. The Rhetorical Analysis made me have to yap a little, and my line of reasoning probably wasn't that good, but at least I had 4 pieces of evidence. I used anecdotes and parallelism, and I was probably stretching some of them out a little. For the argumentative essay, I had to speedrun it, and I didn't get 4 pieces of evidence in. At this point, I can only hope for the best!
After missing class for 3 days I had just a little homework I needed to catch up on, for physics and Junior Seminar. It wasn't too much, but I still had to spend a little time doing it.
I will be going to prom! Thank you to my brother for offering to drive me! Though I won't have a tuxedo suit, since I didn't make a serious effort to try to go to prom, I think my regular formal attire is decent enough.
Thanks for reading,
