May 24th: Completed Truancy, Gambling Delight, AP Calculus Poster, and Night Market
Today was great!
Skipping is so awesome. Yesterday I skipped in period 1, 2, and 3. Today, I've managed to skip in all of my classes, including period 4, 5, and 6. It was somewhat fun today. In 4th period, I skipped into another classroom where I saw some of my friends playing Tetris, so I got the room code to join. Then in 5th period I skipped to the main building, along with my friend's classroom. Finally, in period 6, I skipped and went into another classroom where they were doing a lab. It was interesting. Then I skipped to help with setting up with the Night Market.
Lately, my friends and I have been getting real interested in gambling. Specifically, poker. We've been playing poker every day so far. We only gamble with poker chips and not real money, but it's so fun to play! My friend Johnny calls it a "gambler's high." We've been playing in class, and today we played during lunch break. We even played during the Night Market!Â
So far, it seems that my friend Christy is pretty damn good at poker. She seems to win pretty often. However, this night, my other friend Austin got 20K in poker online with our friends in a Discord call. Anyways, we'll probably be starting a Gambling Club for next year since gambling seems to be what this school needs!
To honor our newfound enlightenment on the wonders of gambling and poker, I made a Gambler's Pride Flag. I printed it out yesterday and I stitched it together. Then, when it was finished, I posted it on the wall instead of the floor. In the morning my father found it out, and, well, the picture speaks for his judgement...
Yesterday I also made a big poster for AP Calculus. It's about particle motion. The minimum was to do flashcards, but I didn't want to do that since I think they're a little boring. I asked my teacher to print it out on the school printers, but it seems that they aren't the best. Anyways, It looks legible enough, which is the important part!
After school, I continued to help set up for the Night Market after I skipped in Calculus to help set up for it. First I was mainly helping to untangle lanterns that were tangled up from the wind. Then I hanged with Austin because he was tricked into watching a stand, while the other people actually running for the stand went off to the Senior Celebration.
This night, during the night market, our friend Rigoberto came back!! It was so exciting to see him since he moved. It had been maybe 6 months since we last saw him. It was fun seeing him and recollecting a little with him!
After I got some delicious food and I saw some cool performances, I played poker with my friends until the end of the night market. It was fun, and I got really involved and I got a lot more comfortable with poker.
Today was very fun.
