May 26th: Shopping and Speeches
Today was good, but it could've been a little more productive.
In the morning I went shopping with my auntie to take advantage of the memorial day sales. I bought some pants and some shirts. These clothes made me very gleeful when I wore them. I felt like they weren't screaming at others, contrasted to the other saturated clothing I normally wear. Thank you Auntie!
Afterwards, I finished writing my speeches for robotics elections and I began filming me speaking. For the first couple of hours I was busy setting up my recording. I wanted to use the back camera for higher quality, but I also wanted to see what the screen looked like. This led me in a wrong direction and wasted me 2 hours while I tried various techniques which all caused for watermarks in the transferred image. So, I settled and used the front facing camera.
Then, I spent a lot of time setting up my green screen. At first I thought the plain white wall would be sufficient, since I was wearing non white clothing, but there wasn't enough contrast. then I tried a variety of blankets, until my grandma found a completely dark green blanket which I was about to key out of the video. Thank you grandma! My final recording set up was very jank but it ended up working well.
Tomorrow, I hope to finish editing the videos for my speeches and move on to something different. I really hope I can make a goodbye gift for the important seniors I've gotten to meet this year. They're all amazing people, and I wish I got to know them better. Unfortunately, I'm really busy, so I'll really need to hope I stay focused on whatever duties I need to finish first.
Thanks for reading,
Issac
I'm hiding a gleeful smile behind that stone face!
