May 7th: Lego EV3, Homework, and SAT
Today was decent.
After school, instead of working on my US History project which I have 0% progress on and is due tomorrow, I kept working on my Lego EV3 robot! Maybe I need to focus on the right things.
Anyways, I finished making an actually practical attachment. It's just a lifting mechanism, but the hole in the middle means you can drag stuff along with the robot, but you can also push some stuff with the attachment as well. I spent maybe 2 hours on it. I also brought the robot to school today. There's a bit of slack for the entire geartrain for the attachment output shaft, which I think is because it's Lego. It could be improved if I use an extra gear to increase the tension. The lifter attachment I made also has a bit of slack, but if I add another piece to hold the main rod, it should be improved. I wish to write an article/paper/report about the robot. But I don't want to do any of that (Though my heart wants to!) I want to do my homework!
Like I said, I have some major homework I need to do. I also really need to study. I also have Chabot College homework I need to do! I really need to "lock in" on the tasks that have more priority.
I also registered for the October SAT today. The August SATs near me were already all taken! Today was also when the these SAT registrations were opened. There really aren't many testing centers anymore! Speaking of the SAT, after the AP Exams, I really need to study for the SAT.
Thanks for reading,

The robot with the lifting mechanism!
The workings of the lifting mechanism. The bevel gear changes the axis of the motion, allowing for the lifting motion of the lifter.
