October 31th: AP Spanish Field Trip, Halloween, and Petition Success
Today was eventful!
In the morning, I attended a field trip for AP Spanish. We took a cramped school bus there. First, we visited the famous Balmy Street Murals in San Francisco. Then, we walked to the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts. There was a guide around all of the ofrendas, then there was a screen printing showcase. I wasn't very good at it but I still managed to make some screen prints. It's a really cool way of making art!
Today was also Halloween. Unfortunately, because I was on the field trip, I couldn't see cool costumes around campus, but I heard and saw of a couple cool ones. I dressed as the guy from Blue's Clues (Steve) but I wore my hat and it was cold, so I wore my jacket, making me unintelligible.
One of my neighbors makes these really cool Halloween displays every year. It's really cool! This year's was really advanced. There was lots of fake smoke and cool lights.
After school, I went to our AP Coordinator's office and showed her our AP Calculus BC petition. Fortunately, it was successful, and she told me to email her the list of people who want to take the exam. Yippee!!!
Happy Birthday Ms. Huo!
