October 5th: October SAT

Today could've gone better.

In the morning, I woke up early to take the SAT. After picking up some friends, we drove to SF, where we got a little lost, but arrived to the test center on time.

In the heavily populated test center, the line quickly moved to check students in. After situating ourselves, and using the bathroom one last time, the test began. I went through the first module of the reading and writing section with no problem. However, the section section had me rather stressed. So much so, that I skipped to the end to speed through some easier questions so I wasn't as concerned about time. I had around 7 questions that I really just couldn't understand. As I read, the content was failing to enter my mind. I got to around 3 more questions with 5 minutes left on the second module, which I managed to get through.

After seeing my friends during the break, we all returned to do the first module of the math section. I breezed through it, though there were some surprisingly challenging questions. However, I managed to finish them all, and I had 5 minutes at the end to review all of my work. For the second module, the questions were definitely more difficult. I had around 13 minutes left to do 5 hard questions. I managed to do 3 of those, leaving 2 of them where I really had no clue how to do them with the last 5 minutes. Though I had a light stroke of genius at the end, I didn't manage to pull through with my answers, so I put some arbitrary numbers as my choice.

Overall, I think I did a lot better on the math section, but I always overestimate how well I do. I'm hoping I exceed 1400, but my last practice test tells me I will perform otherwise. If I was really screwed by my reading and writing section, my score might be worse than my last score, which I'm really hoping doesn't happen! I know my score isn't going to have such a grand boost as last time, but I'm hoping that there is at least some improvement in my score.

Anyways, after the exam, my brother picked us up and we went back home. I was pretty tired after the exam.

The rest of the day was full of mostly procrastination and a little bit of homework.

Thanks for reading,
Issac
