September 30th: Hot Weather, Yet Cross Country Practice

Today wasn't the best.

Why is there such a heat wave when it's basically fall? It doesn't make sense to me. It was around 90 degrees today. The air was warm and humid. I hadn't experienced such heat in a long time. I am grateful for the colder weather a week prior, but now it's just too hot. I'm grateful for the cooled classrooms as well. Being outside feels dangerous.

In this heated weather, there was XC Practice. How I suffered! How we all suffered! It was so hot and humid! I hadn't sweated like that in a long time. I felt like I lost braincells after our interval run.
