February 17th: Robotics Meeting

Today was quite mind opening.

I attended a robotics meeting today. There weren't many members present which is disappointing, considering we don't have a robot by any definition.

As it turns out, we redid our algae cannon incorrectly. Once Dr. Max arrived the construction of it got back in track.

The bumpers are also making good progress. I'm a bit happier about the mounts this year, they are better defined and are constructed with actual bumper brackets instead of being mounted on the chassis like last year.

Throughout the day I did a bunch of random stuff. Some notable stuff is that I rearranged our 3D printing table in the corner so that the 3D printers are on the bottom on the floor instead of on the table. Hopefully the better, stable surface will result in smoother prints. I got them roasted because I had been sticking with a cheaper quality standard that was unaccepted by my mentors. I also finished another e-thank you card, for 5940 Bread! Check it out at https://thankyou.lionbotrobotics.org/bread-5940-carpet-24-25/! I like the pictures of the floating carpet.

Anyhow, it was mind opening today because I realize now that we are very far away from a robot and I should probably be more focused on the robot instead of random side activities. In fact, we should all be focusing on the robot.

Thanks for reading,
Issac
