February 19th: Studying at Chabot Community College

Today was not too shabby!

I woke up an hour later than I intended, around 10AM, which wasn't too bad. I quickly got ready and departed on my bike.

After locking up my bike at Chabot College campus, I headed over the Denny's to have an "American Breakfast." I got the Original Grand Slam. I think I like waffles more than pancakes and I should've gotten the eggs over medium or scrambled than over easy, but it wasn't too bad. There was a good amount of variety and it definitely lasted me for a while. I also got a side of orange juice. I feel that the meal was very rich, which the orange juice helped cut down.

After I finished my meal I walked back to Chabot College campus to move my bike to a different rack. Then, I applied for my certificate! I'm not actually sure if I'll be able to receive my certificate before the commencement ceremony, but I think I can still attend.

Afterwards, I went to the library to get some work done. First, I focused on The LionBot's avatar that will be shown during the match. 40x40 is really small, and since our regular LionBot logo is in a  really high resolution, scaling it down didn't look very good; the transparency and anti-aliasing ruined it and made it barely recognizable. I manually filled in the pixels and wrote our team number on it and pitched it to the rest of the lead, and I think it was decently received. For 40x40 resolution, I don't think they could complain.

Then, I read 2 chapters of my assigned reading for literature class. Being in the library, it was a bit easier to focus than reading in my room on my bed at home.

When I finally felt hungry, I went to get lunch at Cafe Chabot. I got the Garden Balsamic Salad, which was pretty good. I went back to the library to do my Spanish quiz and a bit more light studying.

As I sat in the library, it turned evening, but I missed the sunset! I was hoping to have done more but I spent too much time exploring Chabot College's campus and walking around. I crossed by my friend Austin as he was walking to class and I did his class's assigned lab, which was an interesting puzzle with the switch statement.

At last, my only scheduled class of the day was coming up so I went to go to class. I was able to focus for most of it and got the gist of the second half.

Finally, I biked home for the day beyond dusk.

Thanks for reading,
Issac
